Desert Archaeology's offices in Tucson provide 7,470 square-feet of work space and an additional 1,680 square-feet of warehouse storage space for collections and equipment. The Phoenix office is housed in a 1,340 square-foot facility, one-third of which is warehouse space and two-thirds is office space.

The company maintains in-house capabilities for the full spectrum of cultural resource services, from assessments through excavations, with departmental subdivisions in operations, laboratory processing, computer support (including mapping and GIS applications), and report production.

Desert Archaeology has integrated state-of-the-art computer technology into its operation and maintains a networked system with direct access for all employees. An important staff resource is a centralized database that has been built through our years of experience and that is accessible from all desktops.

Desert Archaeology uses a customized accounting system that combines a full-featured general ledger application with accounts receivable invoicing, personnel status, and project budgeting and tracking functions. This greatly facilitates efficient project management.

Maintaining a secure computer system is of utmost importance. We have invested in a secure firewall that shields us from outside interference. Automated backups are made on a daily basis to protect data.
